of Climax, Michigan Glenn, age 91, died February 5, 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was born January 11, 1922 in Battle Creek, Michigan one of fourteen children to Quinn J. Reed and Florabelle Hamma Reed. Glenn was a 1940 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and served in the Marines in the Pacific from 1942-1946. In 1948, he married Katherine Keagle. They were married for 32 years and had four children. Surviving are three children: Julie Paul Lesky of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Donald Reed of West Union, Iowa and Gail Reed of Chicago, Illinois; four grandchildren: Adam and Logan Reed, Anthony Muma and Chelsea Lesky; two great-grandchildren: Emily and Anthony Muma and a sister, Carol Faust of Issaquah, Washington. Glenn was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheryl Muma Ruger; a grandson, Stephen Muma; nine brothers and three sisters. Glenn was employed for many years at DeNooyer Brothers Chevrolet in Battle Creek. Later, he worked for Barker Manufacturing for 23 years as Chief Engineer and tool designer. He retired to Climax, Michigan and married Edna M. Terry in 1994. She passed away in 2003. Since 2007, Glenn has spent most of his time in Fort Lauderdale where he passed away. Glenn enjoyed building model trains, boats and planes. He was a member of several model clubs. He was a Boy Scout Troop leader and also volunteered his time with Leila Auxiliary. A funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple Street, with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Monday, Feb. 11, at the funeral home. Private interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Glenn's memory may be made to the Michigan Association of Hospital Auxiliaries.
