Gladys Lucille Laws

Age 82, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Gladys was born in Allegan County, Michigan on April 8, 1942, the daughter of the late Franklin and Belva (Cutcher) Betzner. She graduated from Otsego High School and worked for Bell Telephone Company before having children. Gladys always had an amazing amount of luck and loved to play bingo and visit the casinos. She also enjoyed reading, playing video games and was a huge movie buff. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Laws, Jr.; children, Sherry (Ron) Denemy, Rowan Deurloo and Jennifer Black; grandchildren, Taylor (TJ) Buchanan, Carson (Sim) Botta, Oakley Deurloo, Wyatt Morales and Aiden, Riley, Cadence and Maddix Black; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Seedorf, Ronald and Donald Betzner, Patricia (Donald) Grauman, Mike (Carla) Betzner and Marcia (Jinx) Mitzel; brother in-law, Wayne Coon and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Coon and a great-grandson. A celebration of Gladys’ life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Otsego VFW Post 3030, 124 North Farmer St., Otsego, MI 49078.
