KANNEGIETER, Mrs. Gladys J.
Kalamazoo, Michigan Went to be with our Lord Monday morning February 8, 2010 at her residence. Gladys was born September 14, 1925 in Vicksburg, Michigan a daughter of Norman and Leta Beach Miller. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was a member of the Comstock Christian Reformed Church and the Crystal Cathedral in California. Gladys also enjoyed reading, crocheting, games, bowling, and bible study. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas B. Kannegieter, Sr. on January 8, 1992; a son, Thomas B. Kannegieter, Jr. in 2004; a sister, Dorothy Gage in 1990; and a brother, Cpl. Norman Miller in 1951. She is survived by 2 children, Terry Jo Ann Kannegieter of Paw Paw, and Vicky Alexander of Three Rivers; 11 grandchildren, Thomas B. Kannegieter III of Comstock, Charlie Annie Forman II of Three Rivers, David "D.J." Alexander of Three Rivers, Ryan Kannegieter of Paw Paw, Leta Bill Arnold of Gobles, Jennifer Steve Copeland of Portage, Theresa Kannegieter of Comstock, Sara Phil Brylowski of Kalamazoo, Jamie Travis Zinsmaster of Schoolcraft, Katie Alexander of Sturgis, and Tricia Jo Kannegieter of Paw Paw; 25 great-grandchildren, Carmen, Linsey, Breana, Austin, Troy, Aaron, and Tommy IV Kannegieter, Jimmy Sarters, Trevor and Jessica Arnold, Frankie, Sammy and Georgia Copeland, Owen and Liam Graham, Catherine, Gavin and Eleanor Brylowski, Carolynn, Amber, and Johnathon Zinsmaster, Zach and Ava Forman, Cohen Longacre and Evan Alexander; a sister, Mary Lou Ron Hildebrand of Vicksburg; 3 brothers, John O'Halloran, Don Mona O'Halloran, and Mike Jan O'Halloran of Galesburg; 2 sisters-in-law, Bernice Smith and Wilma Kannegieter both of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; and a special thanks to Sandy Hatter and Jeannie Lowder. Services will be held 11 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock. Memorials may be directed to the Comstock Christian Reformed Church.
