EDIE, Mrs. Gladys R. "Sandy"
Kalamazoo, MI Died Sunday morning September 16, 2012. Sandy was born August 14, 1927 in Lowell, Massachusetts a daughter of Herbert and Edith Edmonson Miller. During the Korean War, she served with the U.S. Air Force. Sandy was also a member of the Sunnyside United Methodist Church; and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Herbert Miller, Jr. Sandy is survived by 3 sons, Jeffrey Edie of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Bonnie Edie of Allendale, MI, and Jonathan "Jack" Sharon Edie of Coral Springs, FL, 4 grandchildren, Kristen, Michael, and Nicole Edie, and Jennifer Andy Cupp; 2 great-grandchildren, Kyle and Mikayla; a sister, Edith LaMarca of Sandwich, MA; a sister-in-law, Carol Miller of Moody, ME; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday. Private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center or the Alzheimer's Association.
