Of Portage, Michigan Died November 28, 2008 in Kalamazoo, Mi. Gertrude was born May 22, 1917 in Elgin, ND, the daughter of Gottfried and Caroline Krien Vossler and had lived in Kalamazoo since 1961. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sales clerk at Gilmore Brothers Department Store. Gertrude was a long time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Budd in 1980 and by a brother and two sisters. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law James and Mary Beth West of San Diego, CA; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church Bismarck, ND on December 5 at 1 p.m. with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Gertrude's memory be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 504 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
