THORSEN, Mrs. Gertrude K. Kalamazoo, MI Formerly of East Jordan, MI Gertrude died Monday morning January 15, 2007 in Heartland Health Center of Kalamazoo. Gertrude was born February 14, 1909 in Saginaw, Michigan a daughter of Henry and Martha Lange Sautter. She graduated from Saginaw High School and moved to East Jordan, MI before coming to Kalamazoo in 1982. She was employed as a telephone operator and later owned and operated a beauty salon for many years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Theodore Hausmann in 1975; her second husband, Alfred Thorsen; a sister, Helen Dubay; and 2 brothers, Harry and Leo Sautter. She is survived by 2 children, Iloma Harry Anderson of Kalamazoo and Alicia Jon Lindgren of Wilkes-Barre, PA; 5 grandchildren, Alex and Michael Lindgren both of New York, Christa Mullay of Collierville, TN, Gretchen Cummings of Holland, MI, and Duane Anderson of Oklahoma City, OK; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene MacNeil of Lincoln, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o?clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
