Kalamazoo, MI Died Monday evening August 29, 2009 at her residence. Geraldine was born October 9, 1933 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Albert and Gertrude Dean Vance. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed as Washington Square School Crossing Guard with the Kalamazoo Police Department for 19 years before retiring. She was also a member of the Portage Moose Lodge #88. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sallie Williams. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
