MYERS, Gerald D.
Kalamazoo Gerald passed away Saturday morning, May 18, 2013 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born August 19, 1926 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Ransom and Estella Roberts Myers. He was employed by Humphrey Products for 20 years until his retirement. On September 1, 1951, Gerald married the former Delores Chilcutt, who preceded him in death on February 4, 2008. Surviving are his children, Cheryl M. Andres Herrera, Sandra L. Harold Selner, Gerald L. Deborah Myers, all of Kalamazoo and Dianna S. John Voke of Plainwell; six grandchildren, Christopher Selner, Matthew and Brandon Voke, Andres Herrera III, Lisa Gleason and Lucas Herrera; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Ransom Jane Myers of Newberry; one sister, Georgia Stan Rolfe of Vicksburg; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Entombment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family from 6-8 PM on Wednesday and from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warrior Project.
