Gerald R Mattimore

MATTIMORE, Mr. Gerald R. Comstock, MI Died Monday morning November 20, 2006 at his residence. Gerald was born June 8, 1936 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Thomas and Olive Goolsby Mattimore. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and owned and operated Mattimore Masonry for many years before retiring. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert; a daughter, Rose Mary; 3 brothers, James, Thomas, and John; 2 sisters, Kay and Dorothy; and a grandson, Steven Hooker. On January 11, 1958, he was united in marriage to Della J. Baker Mattimore who survives. Also surviving, 5 children, Christine Randy Dingman of Caledonia, MI, Sheila Bruce Atherton and Rebecca Steve Bos all of Comstock, Gerald Mattimore of Kalamazoo, and James Leslie Mattimore of Decatur, MI; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rose Mussill of Dearborn, MI and Jean Clark West of San Diego, CA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o?clock Friday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Interment will be in Comstock Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Program.
