Gerald ''Jerry'' Marcelletti

MARCELLETTI, Gerald, ?Jerry? Kalamazoo Gerald James Marcelletti Jerry died on April 8, 2007 in South Pasadena, Florida. He was born on May 18, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was the son of Patrick Q. and Noma M. Hyde Marcelletti, and the husband of Wilma Ann Marcelletti DeBruin. He resided in Kalamazoo during the summer months and South Pasadena, Florida during the winter. Besides his wife and mother, Jerry is also survived by his step-children, Frederick and Connie Klinger; step-grandchild, Shane Hill; his brothers James Anne Marcelletti, Tom Kathy Marcelletti of Mattawan; and sister Phyllis John Moore of Mattawan. He also had many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Patrick Q. Marcelletti and grandparents James and Lucy Marcelletti and William and Amanda Hyde. Jerry was a 1961 graduate of Paw Paw High School where he lettered in football and track. Jerry was a retired Upjohn employee where he worked for 28 years. He was active in agriculture and co-owner of the Marcelletti farm in Paw Paw. Jerry enjoyed sports, outdoor gaming, mechanics, and antique cars. He especially enjoyed watching the crops grow, spending time with his wife and family, and was very fond of being with his many close friends. After a long courageous fight, Jerry taught us all that life was very important to fight for, and he will be missed by everyone he touched. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Friday in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. with Rev. Fr. Robert Creagan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the American Cancer Society and the Hospice Organization in particular Hospice of Pinellas County.
