GUSTAFSON, Gerald H. "Jerry"
Paw Paw, Michigan Died Tuesday October 21, 2008 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Gerald was born April 22, 1921 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a son of Henry and Helen Hopp Gustafson. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Navy and later was employed as a pipefitter with Bechtel Power Corp., retiring in 1982. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Barbara in 1991; a son, Gary; a grandson, Dusty; and a brother, Neil. On May 5, 1995, he was united in marriage to Iola D. "Delores" Reddaway Gustafson who survives. Also surviving, a son, Barry Donna Gustafson of Wisconsin; 2 daughters, Sharon Plews of Kalamazoo and Karen Arlon Lee of Montana; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ardith Herrema of California; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. There will be no visitation.
