Climax Passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010. He was born July 4, 1937 in Battle Creek, the son of Harold and Viola Hiscock Cuyler and was a lifelong resident of the Climax area. Jerry worked for Hydreco for 31 years in many positions, and left the company as the Vice-President of manufacturing when the company was sold. It was during this time that he helped build a plant in Brazil for Hydreco, bringing the technology to the new plant. Jerry spent many hours traveling back and forth to Brazil to get the new company up and running. After Hydreco, he worked for Energy Manufacturing as a Regional Sales Manager and a consultant, continuing as a private consultant after his retirement. On October 19, 1956, he married Naomi Nalley, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Kim Michael Hayes of Marengo, MI, Pamela Timothy Madry of Climax and Theresa Jeffrey Lyon of Geneseo, IL; 7 grandchildren, Jason Jamie Madry, Nichole Madry, Michele Hayes, Danielle Hayes, Heather Hayes, Bradley Lyon and Hillary Lyon; 3 great grandchildren, Noah Banner, Taylor Madry and Devin Ransom; brothers and sisters, Larry Joyce Cuyler, Marilyn Fred Simmons, Joyce Drummond, Sue Cuyler, Mary Jane Eglehoff and Robin Debra Cuyler; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM in the Climax United Methodist Church, 133 E. Maple St., with Pastor Glen Litchfield officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Climax Chapel, 205 E. Maple on Friday from 5-8 PM.
