Gerald Cyrus Chaffee

Gerald C. Chaffee "Jerry", age 52 of Grand Junction, died on December 5, 2021. He was born on March 2, 1969, in Three Rivers, Michigan, the son of Donald (Heckert) Chaffee and Susan Bowdish. Jerry was a 1987 graduate of Three Rivers High School. He served in the U.S Army. On June 2, 2017, Jerry married a lifelong friend Kimberly Frame. They were a true love story, and the last few years were the best of his life. Jerry was a hard worker and his most honorable position had been as a caretaker for his father-in-law David, until his recent death. His family includes his wife, Kimberly Chaffee; his children: Lilli-Anna (Josh) Konkolis and Cyrus Chaffee; his grandson, Wesley Konkolis; his parents: Donald (Heckert) and Linda Chaffee and Susan (Bowdish) and Raymond Shingledecker; his brothers and sisters: DiAnna (Mark) Nordblom, Cynthia (Brian) Sobeck, Kenneth (Tasha) Shingledecker, Rhonda (Rob) Robinson, Roger (Rebecca) Shingledecker, Chad (Jessica) Shingledecker, Quentin (Vanessa) Moore; many nieces and nephews and other extended family. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, from 9:00-11:00 AM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, 49009. A graveside with military honors will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Friday, December 10, at 1:30 PM.
