Georgia L. Metcalfe

METCALFE, Georgia L. Kalamazoo Passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at her home in Kalamazoo. Georgia was born on November 21, 1954 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of George A. and Vera Allen Metcalfe. She had been a Kalamazoo resident for the past 15 years. She earned her Masters degree from Western Michigan University. An extremely caring and compassionate person, one of Georgia?s greatest desires was to have an end to all wars and to have a just world. She loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener. She had many friends, most of who knew her as being fiercely independent. To her husband Bob, she was the best person he ever knew. Surviving Georgia are; husband, Robert Davidson; mother, Vera Metcalfe; brother, Lewis Beth Fletcher; sister, Marcia Don Goldstein Metcalfe; step-daughters, Lainie and Jayne Davidson; and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her father, George Metcalfe. Arrangements are by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway, Kalamazoo.
