Kalamazoo, MI Died Friday afternoon April 10, 2009 at her residence. Georgia was born June 22, 1954 in Little Rock, Arkansas a daughter of Max and Eleanor Gurske Kerby. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed at Western Michigan University for 30 years, retiring in 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents. On October 20, 2007, she was united in marriage to Charles "Dave" Bryan who survives. Also surviving a special nephew, Joshua Kerby of Kalamazoo; 3 sisters, Sara Bennett of Grand Rapids, Nancy Koehler of Chelsea, MI, and Jennifer Minshall of Plainwell; and several other nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Nature Center or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St.
