SIMPSON, George D.
Kalamazoo Passed away November 5, 2007 at Tendercare of Westwood with his family by his side. George was born July 15, 1921 in Deerfield, MI, the son of George and Rosemary Gibson Simpson and lived most of his life in Kalamazoo. He was a long time employee and president of the WL Molding Company and later owned and operated Simco Molds for 37 years until his retirement. George?s favorite pastime was fishing on the Great Lakes on his boat the ?Go-Fer?. On June 13, 1942, he was married to the former Christine DeCrocker, who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Michael W. Simpson of California, Leigh Simpson of Battle Creek, Gail Doug Latimer of Texas and James Simpson of Mattawan; 3 grandchildren, Michael D. Simpson, Colin Latimer and Amelia Latimer; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Private interment in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Friday beginning at 1 pm at the funeral home.
