George G. Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Mr. George G. Kalamazoo, MI Died Monday afternoon November 13, 2006. George was born October 24, 1918 in Buffalo, New York a son of George F. and Louise Koning Lawrence. During WWII, he served with the U.S. Navy. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with the Stryker Corporation before retiring. He was also a member of the former Oakwood United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Susie ?Sue? K. Lawrence on March 20, 2004; and a sister, Jennie Schneider in 2005. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Robert Schneider of Parchment; and 3 nieces, Donna Russell Sandefur of Galesburg, Sharon Dale Smith of Kalamazoo, and Elaine Dwight Dare of Lawrence, Kansas. Graveside services will be held 2 o'clock Friday in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Minor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery chapel. Memorials may be directed to the Parchment United Methodist Church. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
