of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012. Age 89. George was born in Washington D.C. on June 24, 1923, the son of the late George W.R. Davidson Sr. and Mildred Carter Davidson. He served with the United States Navy during World War II and retired from GMAC as a Personnel Supervisor. He also worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a member of Second Reformed Church. He was married to Dolores E. English Davidson on August 21, 1955 in Union Point, Georgia; she survives him. Also surviving are his children, George W.R. "Ray" Tala Davidson III of Kalamazoo, Franklin Harvey Davidson of Kalamazoo, Frederic Steven Davidson of Ft. Worth, TX, and Robert Edward Davidson of Macon, GA; six grandchildren, George W.R. Davidson IV, Robert Owen Davidson, Benjamin Russell Davidson, Sara English Davidson, all of Kalamazoo, Steven Brandon Davidson of Denton TX, and Logan Alexander Franklin Davidson of Ft. Worth TX; his brother and sister, Harvey W. Davidson of Macon, GA and Eleanor Kitchens of Marion, S.C. George was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Kincaid. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Second Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Drive. Rev. Kevin Hart will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
