BAMBERGER, George Letson, Jr.
of Kalamazoo Passed away July 13, 2011 at the home he built for his family. He was born on September 6, 1949 in Enid, OK to the late George L. and Cleo Russell Bamberger. George retired after 30 years of working for the State of Michigan and Family Services. He was an expert genealogist and enjoyed bee-keeping, golfing, raising chickens, observing birds and wildlife, and spending time with friends and family. He was a Montessori dad, coached both Little League and softball, and was involved with Cub Scouts for many years. He had a connection with Native American spirituality and with everyone he met. No one was a stranger to George. George is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Jocelyn, son Steven, and sister Linda. A visitation will take place Tuesday, July 19th, from 4-9pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Memorial donations in George's name may be directed to The Henderson House, Brighton Hospital, 12851 Grand River Rd., Brighton, MI 48116.
