Passed away Monday morning, September 20, 2010 in Hamilton, OH. Genevieve was born June 8, 1918 in Branch County, MI the daughter of Ross and Iva Coles Worthington. She was employed for 19 years with the Branch County Community Hospital in Coldwater, MI, where she was a Nurse's Aid and spent time as a Surgical Technician. Genevieve enjoyed spending many years teaching 4-H knitting, Cub Scouts and Christian Youth Crusade CYC. She also enjoyed the Washington Square Apartment band, in which she played the piano and accordion there and several other places in town. On March 21, 1936 she was united in marriage to Benjamin Burk who preceded her in death in 1976. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother, Virgia Smith and Max Worthington. Surviving are 3 children, Ben Burk of Rapid City, SD, Anna May Duane Henion of Coldwater, MI, Ella Dale Hinderliter of Hamilton, OH; 6 grandchildren, Pam Wellington, Jeff Rachel Burk, Janice Lehr, Todd Missy Henion, Michelle Smith, Derek Hinderliter; 12 great-grandchildren, Rick, Michael, Danielle, Evan, Mackenzie, Sawyer, Trey, Jorie, Austin, Chelsea, Cory, and Terry; half sister and brother, Carolyn Jean Lyman Conary, and Douglas Lee Della Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held at 1:00 o'clock Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick with Pastor Bruce Howell officiating. Friends may meet the family Friday from 12:00-1:00 prior to the service. Graveside services will take place at 3:00 o'clock in Evergreen Cemetery in Girard, MI.
