TAYLOR, Geneva Kalamazoo Died October 18, 2006 at Kairos Dwelling. Born December 26, 1921 in Lynn, AL, the daughter of Luther and Jessie Dodd. Geneva had lived in the Kalamazoo area since 1939. As a member of the East Main Church of Christ, she was deeply involved in volunteer activities and had been active as a Sunday School teacher. She loved her roses and enjoyed reading mystery stories. Geneva?s life was greatly enriched by her love of family, friends, and helping others. Her husband Roscoe Taylor preceded her in death on September 20, 2006. She was also preceded by a brother Ray Dodd and by 2 sisters, Jeanette Falkner and Willean Dodd. Surviving are a son Gary Taylor and a daughter Linda Taylor, both of Kalamazoo; 4 sisters, Doris Whitehead, Iva Jean Dodd and Jimmie Lou Little, all of Alabama and Pat Fitzpatrick of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family Sunday evening from 5-8 pm and on Monday from 10 ? 11 am and services will be held at 11:00 o?clock at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Ministers Allen Barber and Sean Niestrath, officiating. Memorial contributions in Geneva?s memory may be made to Kairos Dwelling.
