Kalamazoo, MI Died Friday morning May 7, 2010. Geneva was born February 3, 1933 in Fackler, Alabama a daughter of Ernest and Viola Inglis McCarver. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1952 and was employed with several Paper Mills for 15 years before retiring. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maynard R. Hills, Jr. on September 28, 2002; a daughter, Patsy "Jane" Goswick in 2003; 2 grandchildren, Scotty and Melanie Baker; a brother, Ernest J. McCarver, Jr.; and a sister, Virginia Isdal. She is survived by 9 children, Charlotte Downer of Kalamazoo, Kathleen George Hauck of Paw Paw, Pamela Ron Ritter of Kalamazoo, Theresa "Kay" Verville of Kalamazoo, and Vicki Kahl of Kalamazoo, John Sherry Hills of Missouri, Mike Laurie Hills of Iron Mountain, MI, and Mark Hills and Maynard Hills III both of Three Rivers; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters, Leola "Lee" Bill Garrison of Arizona and Linda Gary Gerds of Kalamazoo; a brother, Wayne Marge McCarver of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 6-8pm Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday.
