WARNER, Gayle Iris
Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Friday, June 20, 2008. Gayle was born October 10, 1929 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Leo and Gertrude Leetz Polmanteer and had live in the Kalamazoo area many years. She graduated from Comstock High School and was employed for 30 years at Bronson Hospital as a ward clerk. Gayle was a creative person who loved playing Nintendo, doing crafts and using the computer. She was also a feisty person and you always knew where you stood with her. She would do anything for her friends. Gayle loved her family, her husband, her daughter and her granddaughter, her little red car, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and watching the squirrels around her home. She enjoyed tracking many generations of the squirrels who lived in her back yard. She was a survivor, having fought back from a car accident and cancer. But her recent battle with COPD was one she did not win. Her survivors include her husband of over 55 years, Jack Douglas Warner; her daughter, Pamela Wayne Swiler of Lake Odessa; her granddaughter, Amanda Lake, of Holt; a sister, Sibella Richardson of Augusta; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, James and Vera Bogan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, June 23, in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with Pastor Mark Jarvie officiating. Interment will take place in Almena Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to the service.
