BLAMER, Gary D.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Gary passed away Thursday morning, June 21, 2012 at his home. He was born on February 26, 1932 on this family's farm in Beaver Township in Newaygo County. Gary was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. On October 1, 1955, he was united in marriage to Nancy Lindback. Gary was employed by Checker Motors in Kalamazoo for over 30 years until his retirement. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Nancy Blamer; their three children, Eric Lynn Blamer of Bangor, Lisa Cary VanDerMullen Lindback of Phoenix, AZ and Todd Blamer of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren, Kristen John Brennen, Erika Blamer, Aaron Blamer and Andrew Blamer; three great-grandchildren, Riley Blamer, Jacob Brennen and Johnny Brennen; and brother, Dave Gloria Blamer of Muskegon. Preceding him in death were one son, Mark Blamer and his parents. Honoring Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or memorial service.
