Of Kalamazoo Gail died Sunday morning, October 14, 2012. She was born September 20, 1948 in Kalamazoo. Gail was a lifelong resident of the Oakwood neighborhood. She received the community STAR Award in 1989 for her volunteer efforts. Preceding her in death were her parents, Mercedes "Mary" and Harold "Bud" Camp; maternal grandparents, Mercedes and Jerome Donoghue; uncles and aunts, Charles Doris Mindeman, long-term caregiver, Lorraine Kenneth Youngs, Evelyn Charles West, Maxwell Lillian Donoghue and special long-term caregiver uncle, Neil Gustafson. Surviving are special aunt, Frances Gustafson; cousins, Greg Diane Gustafson, Debbie Ken Block, Neil Kathy Gustafson and many members of the Mindeman, West, Gustafson and Youngs families. Gail also leaves two special caregiver friends, Kay and Sheila Maggert at the Colony Hill Assisted Living Residence. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, Oct. 19, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, with Chaplain Dianne H. Litynski officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Oakwood Neighborhood Association, 3320 Laird Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
