G. Glenore ''Glennie'' Adams

ADAMS, G. Glenore ?Glennie?Koning Kalamazoo Passed away, Friday, April 6, 2007 at Tendercare, Kalamazoo. Glenore was born April 16, 1925 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of the late Peter and Alice Broekema Koning. She was united in marriage, September 24, 1947, for a loving 50 years, to Gerald Adams, who preceded her in death in June of 1998. Glenore was a lifelong member of Grace Christian Reformed Church and at one time, a member of their ladies group, The Dorcas Society. She was a switchboard operator at Upjohn Corporation early in her career until she became a full-time homemaker. After raising her children, she was employed in Registration at Western Michigan University. Surviving her are; children, Cheryl Roger Benthem of Okemos, MI, Sally James Nook of South Haven, MI.; 4 grandchildren, Alicia and Brian Benthem, Kelly and Adam Nook; her brother, Harold Patricia Koning; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, 1:00 o?clock PM, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI, Rev. Theda McBryde, officiating. Visitation will take place Tuesday, April 10th from 5 ? 7:00 o?clock PM at the Westside Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent in Glenore?s name, to Grace Christian Reformed Church or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
