Frederick Keith Gemlich

Frederick Gemlich, age 79 went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 11, 2023. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 28, 1944, to the late Fred Gemlich and Margaret Smith. He grew up in a small town, Twinsburg, Ohio. A man of Faith, Fred dedicated much of his time and effort to the church and in recent years, found his church home at Amazing Grace Baptist Fellowship church.

He was Fred to some, and Rick to others. Learning, education and knowledge were important to him. Fred attended Kent State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business/Management. This helped him with the business,  Twinsburg Mold & Tool – which he owned and operated for decades. Family is incredibly important to him and he enjoyed working with his father for many years. Most of the men and women he worked with over the years at the tool and die company and other projects became friends and as close as family.

Fred was quite the handy man, and liked to take on projects himself. He learned what was necessary for his projects from books and attending specialized classes at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He also worked as an accountant- very detail oriented, similar to the necessary attention and patience with precision molds. Everyone would see his office as a mess, but you ask for 2015’s receipt for vehicle maintance on a car he hasn’t had since 2016 and he’d tell you exactly where it is.

Many saw him walking the neighborhood with his dogs. His love for animals was evident and well known. He walked with dog biscuits in his pocket for any other dogs he may see along the route. Maybe not as well known, was the stash of cookies he kept for himself in his car, in the house, and in the office.
