Kalamazoo, Michigan Fred passed away unexpectedly April 15, 2008 at his home. He was born January 29, 1933 at his family home in Irons, MI, the son of Hartwell and Louise Frison Beane. Fred was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Kalamazoo Public Schools as an instructor and administrator for many years until his retirement. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Marks Beane; 2 brothers, Richard and Kenneth Beane; and 1 sister, Dorothy Steed. Preceding him in death were his parents; and 1 brother, Hartwell Beane Jr. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services or visitation.
