MEADOWS, Freddie Ray Kalamazoo Passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007. He was born February 7, 1942 in Hunter, AR, the son of Fred and Ethel Arnold Meadows. Freddie served his country in the United States Army, and was in Korea and Germany. He was employed for the past 32 years by the General Motors Corp., B.O.C. Group of Kalamazoo. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Johnnie Meadows in 1993. Freddie is survived by his wife, Sharon Abbott Meadows; 2 daughters, Sara Meadows and Carla Meadows; a son, Pete Meadows; 4 grandchildren; a great grandson; four sisters, Evelyn Coleman of Three Rivers, Betty Calvin Frazier of Colt, AR, Bonnie AD Byrd of Palestine, AR, and Emma Lloyd Featherstone of Constantine, MI; a brother, Roy Jeanne Meadows, of Constantine; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway on Wednesday from 2-8 PM. A committal service with full military honors will be conducted on Thursday at 2:30 PM at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet in the funeral assembly area by 2:20 PM on Thursday.
