Formerly of Kalamazoo Passed away early Friday morning, November 30, 2007 at Caretel Nursing Home. She was born April 11, 1933 in St. James, AK, one of eleven children to Coleman and Vernice Greenway Foster. Frances owned and operated Metzing?s Hair Care in St. Joseph for 40 years. On April 11, 1954, she was united in marriage to Paul S. Metzing in Kalamazoo, who survives. Also surviving are four children, Steven Metzing, Kevin Metzing, Donna Ray Wolfram, Kimberly Antonio Martinez, and also to include, Mark Joan Ross; two grandchildren, Jenna and Alex Wolfram; two brothers, Bob Carol Foster and Tom Debora Foster; one sister, Midge McComis; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; four sisters, Juanita Reeves, Hazel Foster, Mary Kielau, and Modell Hinds; and three brothers, Joe, James, and Jerry Foster. Memorial services for Mrs. Metzing will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Rev. Michael Eleveld officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society. www.langelands.com 343-1508
