Frances E. Ceglarek

CEGLAREK, Frances E. of Bay City, Michigan Passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 in Kalamazoo. She was born February 11, 1923 in Bay City, a daughter of Frank and Anne Riley Smith and was a resident there before moving to Amber Place of Kalamazoo 14 months ago. She worked as the Assistant to the Registrar for Delta College for over 30 years. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor; two brothers, George Smith and Donald Smith; and a sister, Virginia LeRoux. Surviving are her son, John Janel Ceglarek of Portage; two granddaughters, Laurel Justin Olsen and Emily Ceglarek; a brother, Frank Kaye Smith and a sister, Dolores Kasper; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. on Thursday from 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1150 W. Centre Ave., with Rev. Fr. Robert Creagan, officiating. Following the service at St. Catherine's, Mrs. Ceglarek will be taken to the Squires Funeral Home in Bay City, MI., for a visitation Friday evening from 6-8 PM and burial in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, on Saturday at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be given to the Amber Place Life Enrichment Fund, 600 Golden Way Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
