Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009. Frances was born February 7, 1916 in Kalamazoo, a daughter of John and Sara Jansen DeWolf and was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo. She was a member of Third Reformed Church and of the Dorcas Society of the church. On September 14, 1938, she married Martin Bussema and together they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary before Martin passed away on March 14, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara Bussema; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters. She is survived by her children, Carl Janet Bussema and John Diane Bussema, of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Mark Erin Bussema, Kimberly Scott Muller, Tonya Dr. Chris Bussema and Sara Josh Teitelman; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Following a Thursday morning family committal service at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM in the Third Reformed Church, 2345 N. 10th St. with Rev. Darwin Vander Wal officiating. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel 3926 S. 9th St. on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.
