Formerly of Galesburg, MI Died September 2, 2009 at his residence. Jack was born July 27, 1942 in Austin, IN, the son of Herbert and Ruth McIntosh and had lived in the Galesburg area for the past 41 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a die maker for 27 years at General Motors and later worked for 13 years at Bentlers, Inc. in Galesburg. Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Galesburg. He was a dedicated family man and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was instrumental in founding Rocket Football and Pee Wee Wrestling in Galesburg and was an avid Galesburg-Augusta High School sports booster. Jack loved golf and his hobby was making custom golf clubs for his co-workers at General Motors. On September 26, 1960, he was married to Carol Laven, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons and 2 daughters, Dwayne Dana McIntosh of Seattle, WA, Bryan McIntosh of Battle Creek, Pamela Nicolas Miihlbach of Cypress, TX and Karen Heath of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren, Trina, Matthew, Nicole Dave, Christopher, Cody and Tyler; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister Jan Robert Hoffman and a brother Mike McIntosh, all of Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, September 9 at the First United Methodist Church of Galesburg, 111 W. Battle Creek St. with the Rev. Mona Joslyn officiating. Friends may meet with the family beginning one hour before the service at church. Memorial contributions in Jack's memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Galesburg or the American Diabetes Association.
