Florence Uldricks, also known as Bette, passed away among family in San Pablo, California on May 27, 2008. In her 90 plus years, Bette touched countless lives - from her kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion, to her strength and determination, she was truly a force of nature. Never hesitating to offer her shoulder for someone to cry on, or an ear to listen, Bette lived a life that was of service to her family, her friends, and her community. She is preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Nettie Hale Johnson, her beloved husband Donald, and her sons, David and Phillip. Bette is survived by her son, Dennis, and her daughter, Judy, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Florence was a lifelong resident of Richland and Kalamazoo. She retired from the First Federal Credit Union and served on the Credit Union Board of Directors for many years. She was an active member of the Parchment community, and was especially committed to the Parchment Library. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Thursday, June 5th, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, which will be followed immediately by a memorial service at 11:15 am in the Chapel at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
