Kalamazoo Died Friday, June 13, 2008 in Ann Arbor. Florence was born October 3, 1928 in Chicago to the late William and Bessie Kiel Dunn. She was widowed by Robert Griffith Sr. and Harry King. Florence was an avid reader and among her other interests, she loved to attend plays and going out to eat with friends and family. She specifically had a love for nature, especially for birds and dogs. Florence was a wonderful, loving woman who was always a true friend. Her love was unconditional and she knew how to comfort those in need, at any time. Her selflessness was her greatest attribute. In the hearts of those who loved her, her love will remain forever. Surviving Florence are grandchildren, Lisa Sherry Griffith, Michelle Brad Lawson, Amy Denby, John Julie Creek and Gina Creek; children, Robert J. Roberta Griffith and Sally Creek; sister-in-law, Corrine "Corky" Tripp; niece, Suzie Murphy and; nephew, Jim Tripp. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, the 21st , 11:00AM, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Family will greet and visit with friends, one hour prior to the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be sent in Florence's name to the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
