JOHNSON, Florence M.
of Kalamazoo In His wisdom and mercy, Almighty God received unto Himself His sister in Christ, Florence Johnson on September 26, 2010. Florence was born April 26, 1924 in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of the late Harry H. and Mabel Anna Johnson of Kalamazoo. She had resided at the Springs of Bronson Place for the past 35 years, the last surviving resident of the former Brookhaven Care Facility of Kalamazoo at the time of her death. She is survived by one sister, Joan Adams of Las Vegas, NV and one brother, Robert E. Johnson and wife Pat of Charlotte, NC. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 3:00 o'clock, in the chapel at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery with Pastor Randy Burnett of the 12th St. Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the funeral, in the chapel at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Florence's memory may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. The family would like to thank Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan for the loving care given to Florence and to the entire staff of the Springs for their loving care and concern shown to Florence while she was a resident of the Springs. Also, the family wishes to express their love and gratitude to Darrel Allen and his family for all the care they have shown and administered during Florence's life in the absence of her brother and his wife.
