IMUS, Florence L. Fosdick
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Sunday morning, October 26, 2008 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Florence was born January 5, 1913 in Three Rivers, MI the daughter of Burt and Alice Wheeler Fosdick and had been a lifelong resident in the Galesburg and Kalamazoo area. Prior to her retirement in 1978 she was employed for over 25 years with First National Bank. Florence was a member of the Galesburg United Methodist Church and the Galesburg Bunko Club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, bowling, board and card games, and traveling around the country with her nieces. Florence was also an avid Detroit Tigers and Pistons fan and always knew who all the players were. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dena Hunter; a sister and brother, Irma High, and Milford Fosdick. Surviving are her son Jim Sandra Imus; son-in-law, Scott Hunter of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great- grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11:00 o'clock Wednesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Rev. Joel Zuidema officiating. Interment will follow in Poe Cemetery in Newburg Township. Friends may meet the family Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the Westside Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence and Park Village Pines.
