Florence A. Johnson

JOHNSON, Mrs. Florence A. Kalamazoo, MI Died August 2, 2010. Florence was born December 24, 1922 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Charles and Hilma Nord Ward. She's been a Kalamazoo resident for 50 years and a member of both Northeastern Baptist and Haven Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Samuel McCool, Sr.; her second husband, Eugene Johnson in 1996; 2 sons, Samuel McCool, Jr. in 2000 and Larry Johnson in 2004 and a daughter, Ethel Newland in 1982. Florence is survived by a granddaughter, Melissa David Paul of Kalamazoo and a great-grandchild, Stephani Shephard. A memorial service will be held @ 11 o'clock Thursday August 5th at the Haven Church, 5350 N. Sprinkle Rd. Memorials may be directed to Kairos Dwelling.
