Of Kalamazoo Went home to be with her Lord on Friday, August 15, 2008. Fennah was born in Holland, Michigan, the daughter of Herman and Dena Rotman Bontekoe. She was a resident of Kalamazoo since 1946 and was employed for several years with Kalamazoo Public Schools. Fennah was a member of the Third Reformed Church where she sang in the church choir, was a member of the Women's Ministry and Super Seniors; and had volunteered her music ministry to many organizations through the years. On September 23, 1947, she was united in marriage to Jerry Doorlag who preceded her in death on April 18, 2007. Surviving are her children, Rev. Dr. Jack L. Mary Doorlag of Hudsonville, Jerry B. Lexi Doorlag of Schoolcraft, Maridean R. William Micheals of Kalamazoo, Timothy A. Connie Doorlag of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; in-laws, nieces and nephews. Fennah was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Ruth DeRidder and Marie Boeve. The family will receive friends on Sunday today from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Third Reformed Church Fireside Room 2345 N. 10th St.. A service to celebrate Fennah's life and home going will be held 11:00am Monday at Third Reformed Church with Rev. Dar VanderWal officiating. A private family interment will be held in Grand Prairie Cemetery. Memorials in Fennah's memory may be directed to Park Village Pines, Third Reformed Church Senior Ministries, or Kalamazoo Christian School Association.
