Fannie Zemitans

ZEMITANS, Mrs. Fannie Kalamazoo, MI Died Friday afternoon November 24, 2006. Fannie was born March 8, 1910 in Skriveri, Latvia a daughter of Peteris and Lina Alberts. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1954 and was employed with the Peter Eckrich Company for many years before retiring. She was also a member of the Latvian Evangelical Church where she was active in many programs. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karlis Zemitans on December 2, 1989; a granddaughter, Angela Zemitans on December 14, 1980; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by 2 sons, Andy Jackie Zemitans of Plainwell and Ivars Zemitans of Seattle, WA; 2 grandchildren, David Heather Zemitans and Sarah Zemitans all of Kalamazoo; 2 great-grandchildren, Dylan and Emily; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o?clock Tuesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 6-8pm Monday. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Open Door & Next Door Shelter.
