BRUNDAGE, F. Ward
Of Kalamazoo, Michigan F. Ward Brundage died September 9, 2008, at Rose Arbor Hospice at the age of 94, in Kalamazoo, MI. Ward was born April 3, 1914, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Homer F. Brundage and Bernice Hodgeboom Brundage. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School Class of 1932, and Michigan State College 1936 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a veteran of WW II, and retired from The Brundage Company after 36 years. Prior to his retirement he served on various boards and organizations, including; Kalamazoo County Chamber of Commerce; Board of American National Bank & Trust Company; Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute ARI; Kalamazoo Engineering Society; Kalamazoo Sales Executives; American Red Cross Board; Cape Coral Hospital Auxiliary; and Palmetto Pine Country Club, Cape Coral, FL. He was married to Mable M. Trelfa on November 25, 1937, who survives. Also surviving are his children and their spouses, Joanne Jan Baxter of Fisherville, KY., and Fred Margo Brundage of Portage, MI.; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother Joseph Thelma Brundage of Holland, MI.; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law Jenny Trelfa. Ward was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Richard Trelfa. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Graveside Service at 2:00 PM Friday, September 12, 2008, in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan please meet at the cemetery cortege assembly area. A Memorial Service will be held 3:30 PM Saturday, September 13, 2008 in the KIVA at Friendship Village 1400 N. Drake Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Friendship Village Employee's Scholarship Fund; Rose Arbor Hospice; or a charity of your choice.
