Evelyn Elaine Blain, a resident of Galesburg, Michigan, passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 27, 1940, in Kalamazoo, Evelyn was the daughter of Roy Bargo and Eleanor (Otten) Bargo. She was a proud graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School.

Evelyn lived her life with a deep passion for her family and her wide array of hobbies, which included crafts, knitting, crocheting, and camping. She found joy in spending time by the lake and celebrating holidays with loved ones. Most importantly, her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and family gatherings were a source of great happiness for her.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Robb (Jana) Blain, and her daughter, Colleen (Steve) Bowker, and daughter-in-law Cindy Blain, who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, including Brian (Mindy) Johnson, Lorin Blain, Robby Blain, and two great-grandchildren. Additionally, Evelyn is remembered by her brother, Roger Bargo.

She is predeceased by her father, Roy Bargo; her mother, Eleanor (Otten) Bargo; her son, Rick Blain; and her long-time partner, Richard Andrysiak.

A visitation will take place on February 19, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. As an expression of sympathy to the family, memorial contributions can be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
