Of Portage, MI Passed away at Borgess Hospital on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the age of 91. Eva Don Sanderson was born in Crescent, OK on May 5, 1921, the daughter of the late Theodore and Beulah Albertson Sanderson. She was married to Donald H. Hutchins in 1939; he preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Eugene Trader in 1987; he preceded her in death in 1992. She retired from Sutherland Georgia Pacific Paper Company after over 35 years of service. She was a member of the Lake Center Bible Church, where she taught Sunday school. She also volunteered with the church's Prayer Chain and the Senior Ministry, visiting those in nursing homes and reading to the blind. Eva Don enjoyed crocheting, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Surviving are her children, Kenneth Ronald Hutchins, Bobby Dale Hutchins, David Terry Sue Hutchins, Sharon Carlisle, David Joyce Trader and Robert Joyce Trader; grandchildren, Danny Hutchins, David Hutchins, Andy Hutchins, Chandler Hutchins, Russell Hutchins, Tammy Steve Asher. Krista Ziegler Jimmy Asher and Shannon Marie James Cook; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren to arrive later in the year. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry Carlisle; and two brothers, Mike Sanderson and Jerry Sanderson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Borgess Hospital, Pro Med and Borgess Visiting Nurses Reverence Care. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Lake Center Bible Church, 805 E. Osterhout Rd. Pastor Thaddeus Stout will officiate with burial in South Portage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
