PENNINGTON, Eunice
of Kalamazoo Eunice peacefully passed away in Alamo, MI on Thursday, December 8, 2011, surrounded by her loving family and caring nurses, after a 5 year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Eunice was born on August 14, 1916 in Pike County, KY to the late Langdon and Maude Reynolds Blackburn. In 1934, she married William Pennington; and they shared life with eleven children until Bill's death in 1969. Also preceding her in death were three sons, Robert, Donald; and Bill Jr., one daughter, Carole Collins-LaPlante; and grandson, Tony Sehy. Surviving are seven children, Garry Nancy Pennington, Mary Lou Pennington, Janet Sehy, Bonnie Stone, and Lois Phelps all of Kalamazoo, Ruth Ann Seafler of Ohio, and Patricia Ford of South Carolina; twenty-one grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one brother, Claude Blackburn of Kentucky. Friends are invited to share memories with the family on Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 2-3 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with a funeral service beginning at 3:00 PM. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorial contributions may be directed to Loaves and Fishes or a charity of one's choice.
