Ethel G. Smith

SMITH, Mrs. Ethel G. of Kalamazoo Passed away Tuesday October 24, 2006. Ethel was born May 14, 1917 in Barton, Ohio, the daughter of Andrew and Anna Gregor; and was a longtime resident of Niles. She was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Niles and affiliated with Immanuel Lutheran Church of Kalamazoo. She was married to Beryle C. Smith who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. Surviving are her step-son, Jack Smith; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00-11:00 am at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. where Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday with Pastor David Sidwell officiating. Interment will be 2:30 pm Friday in Silver Brook Cemetery, Niles, MI. Memorials in Ethel?s memory may be directed to the Upjohn Community Care Center Alzheimer?s Unit, or a charity of your choice.
