CHARLESWORTH, Erwin H.
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Friday morning, July 18, 2008. Erwin was born July 11, 1924 in Waltz, MI the son of Harold and Katherine Young Charlesworth. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement he was employed with Overbeck's for 15 years. He also worked with Commercial Services and Diapers Unlimited. Erwin is a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and enjoyed doing volunteer work with Loaves and Fishes. On June 25, 1949 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, the former Ruth Huegel who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Cathy Paul Mejia, Curtis Ada Charlesworth; 2 grand-daughters, Morgan and Logan; his sister, Dorothy Jaworski; and several nieces and nephews. Erwin was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Charlesworth. Services will be held 11:00AM Monday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Pastor Kenneth Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Sunday from 1-5pm at the Westside Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes, or the Heritage Community.
