Erick Matthew "Matt" Alsup

Erick Matthew “Matt” Alsup of Portage, Michigan passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 64. Matt was born in Watervliet, Michigan, on October 31, 1959, to the late Junior and Maxine (Kruger) Alsup.

Matt graduated from Paw Paw High School, and later worked at Adient, International Paper, Coke Foods, Midwest Aluminum, and Pfizer. He enjoyed entertaining friends, family, and strangers with his juggling. Matt loved hackie-sack, music, camping, kayaking, and cooking on his grill or using his smoker. He took great joy in trying new restaurants and various types of food.

Matt is survived by his siblings, Lorna (Kerry) Melson, Mark Alsup, Mitchell (Sue Grames) Alsup, Julie Lesman, Loretta (Mac) McGonigal; and many nieces and nephews.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cynthia Alsup; and brother-in-law, David Lesman.
