Elsie B. Murray

MURRAY, Mrs. Elsie B. Galesburg, MI Passed away peacefully Tuesday morning April 17, 2007. Elsie was born September 25, 1918 in Bellaire MI to Charles and Bertha Cotton Lutz. She has been in the Galesburg area for many years. On May 16, 1935, she married Frank Murray and so they started there life together. Elsie was a hard worker all her life she took pride in the Labor day walk across the Mackinaw Bridge which she and her daughter Agnes did for many years. She always took pride in her family and doing all she could do till the loss of her leg in 2001 from diabetes. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank of 56 years in 1990; and two sons-in-laws, Art Williams in 1990 and Dick Streu in 2003; her youngest son, Dale in 2004; and her daughter, Bertha in 2004. Elsie is survived by a son, Franklin and Joan Murray of Galesburg; a daughter, Agnes Streu Of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Murray of Galesburg; and son-in-law, Bruce Williams of Galesburg;9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 1 o?clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 West Battle Creek St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Michigan Diabetes Association.
