Elsie B. Murray

PERKINS, Luther ?LC?, ?Lou? Of Galesburg Passed away Wednesday morning April 18, 2007 at his residence. Luther was born February 8, 1937 in Jackson, Kentuckey, the son of Martin and Nora Little Perkins and has been a lifelong Galesburg resident. He had served in the U.S. Navy and worked for over 30 years with AT & T. Luther was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoy working crossword puzzles. Surviving are two sons, Tony Perkins of Galesburg and John Perkins of Plainwell; a granddaughter, Shelsae Perkins; his former wife, Jean Perkins of Plainwell; brother and sisters, Maxine Bob Newton of Comstock, Christine Bob Sherman of Buchanan, Bill Pat Perkins of Kalamazoo, Gene Sherry Perkins of Galesburg and Phillip Chris Perkins of Kalamazoo; a sister-in-law, Barb Perkins of Niles; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Forest Perkins. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm Friday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 West Battle Creek St. followed by a time of sharing beginning at 7:00pm Friday. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
