ROTHENBERG, Elizabeth ?Betty?
of Kalamazoo Passed away October 24, 2007 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI. Betty was born February 6, 1928, to the late Svein and Johanna Dullum Nilsen. She received her Bachelor?s degree from Connecticut College with honors. Betty was a beautiful, intelligent and well-traveled woman who loved cooking, gardening, painting, writing and literature. She was very active in the local peace movement. She was also an active member in the Sons of Norway. Betty married Robert M. Brennan who passed in 1972. She later married Edgar Rothenberg who was a faithful husband and good friend. Surviving Betty are her children, Lisa Brennan of Kalamazoo and Portland, OR, Robert Patricia Brennan of Madison, CT and William Amy Brennan of Kalamazoo; 5 grandchildren, Natasha, Erin, Jessie, Madison and Christine; brothers, Philip Nancy Nilsen and Robert Troyanne Nilsen; sister, Justine Yaley; numerous beloved nieces and nephews, including Skipper. There will be no visitation and memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
